Top 5 Cryptocurrency Apps on iOS in Central America Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the cryptocurrency app market in Central America showcased varied trends in downloads and active users on the iOS platform. According to Sensor Tower, here is a closer look at the performance of the top five cryptocurrency apps in the region.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto saw a fluctuation in weekly downloads, beginning with over 4K downloads in early July and peaking at approximately 6.4K in the first week of August. However, downloads gradually declined, reaching around 1.7K by the end of September. The app maintained a steady number of weekly active users, ranging from 65K to 72K throughout the quarter.

Bitso - Buy bitcoin easily experienced a similar pattern in downloads, starting strong with over 3K weekly downloads in July and peaking at 4.2K in early August. This was followed by a decline to 843 downloads in the last week of September. The weekly active users showed a slight decrease from 19.8K at the start of the quarter to 14.2K by September's end.

MultiMoney: Créditos y ahorro had more stable download numbers, with weekly downloads mostly ranging between 500 and 800. The highest point was in early September with 884 downloads, followed by a moderate decline towards the end of the quarter.

Sweat Wallet demonstrated a steady increase in downloads mid-quarter, peaking at 737 in late August. However, this number gradually decreased to 433 by the end of September. The app's active users exhibited a fairly stable trend, starting from 13.7K and ending the quarter slightly lower at 12.9K.

Coinbase: Buy Bitcoin & Ether experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 894 in early July to 171 by the end of September. Similarly, the app's active user base saw a gradual decrease from 3.7K to 2.7K during the same period.
